I don't know if it has to do with the water, the air, or the bbq (it's probably a combination of all three), but there's something uniquely magical about the feel and sound of drummers from Memphis, Tennessee. This is definitely the case with Memphis native, George Sluppick, and his first Yurt Rock release, "In The Pocket Vol 1".

Recorded on a wide array of vintage, analog gear at the incredible Memphis Magnetic Recording Co., In The Pocket Vol 1 features a whopping 3.5 GB of loops and samples covering a range of funk, soul, blues and rock grooves. To take things a step further, this library features three sonic options for every loop in the library:

  • Stereo Mix
  • Mono Mix
  • Stereo Mix (w/ no room mics)

These three options allow you to choose from a "tight and dry" drum sound using the "no room mics" option to more of a vintage vibe with the mono mix, and finally, more of a modern and wide-open drum sound with the stereo mix option.

The full, unedited performances from each loop session are also provided, allowing you to jam along or write to complete, song-length drum tracks. These full performances also include the three different mix options, allowing you to pick the vibe that you're looking for.

In addition, multi-velocity samples are included putting the sounds of vintage Ludwig, Rogers and Slingerland drums and George's personal cymbal collection at your fingertips.
